Meeting
Guidelines, Parrot Protocol & Poop Patrol
General
Guidelines
Connecticut
Parrot Society welcomes members to bring their birds to meetings and events,
unless otherwise noted.
Parrot
Protocols
There
are a few guidelines that need to be observed for the well being of all
our birds. They are as follows:
Only
CPS members are permitted to bring their birds. After 60 days new
members are welcomed to bring their birds. CPS asks that members refrain
from bringing newly acquired birds for 3 months. Parrots entering
or in the adoption program are considered newly acquired also.
Please refrain from bringing any elderly, and/or ill birds from any
meetings. It is recommended that recently treated birds not attend until
after 90 days.
These guidelines
are for the protection of all our birds as many diseases are airborne
and easily transmitted.
Poop-Patrol
We
must leave the facility as clean as when we entered it. Please bring paper
toweling or newspaper to keep your bird(s) poop off the flooring and tables
and be prepared to clean up any mistakes.
